Arise Community Chapel

Welcome to Arise Community Chapel

We at Arise Community Chapel are grateful to be a part of the opportunity to further God’s kingdom in the Cressona/Schuylkill Haven Pennsylvania area. God blessed us with a small chapel on the corner of Wilson and Schuylkill Street in the Cressona Borough that we are using for His glory. This chapel was formerly referred to as Grace and Truth Chapel and was a part of the denomination called The Pottsville Assembly of the Brethren. In June of 2022, we were given the opportunity to move forward with starting the process of the transfer of ownership which took place on September 20, 2022. Since then, we have renovated the building. We began the renovation project in November of 2022 and completed it enough to use the building in June 2023. We are currently holding services and using the building since June 11, 2023. We welcome you to join us for services every Sunday at 9:30 am. Please see our events page for other activities that are also happening at our church and in our community.

We are a community church and welcome anyone seeking to find a church family, belonging, and relationship. We invite you to join us to learn and grow with us as we study the Word of God. Practically applying the scriptures to our everyday lives is an important part of our journey in learning to know our Father God better. We are grateful for His Son Jesus who came to live here on Earth and die on the cross for our sins so we can be forgiven and live in a right relationship with Him, and for the Holy Spirit who guides us into all Truth.   Our services include a time of praise and worship, preaching from the Word of God, connection and social interaction at our Coffee and Connection Time. We also have Sunday School classes for all ages. Please come join us! If you have any questions, please reach out to us on our social media pages or contact us here from the website.

Our Vision

Our vision is to impact the community by sharing Jesus’s love through vacation bible school, community meals, bible studies, kid’s clubs, and Sunday morning services. We also hope to join in volunteer work with the already locally active food pantries and other charities that are making a difference in our local community. We enjoyed having church in Bubeck Park in Schuylkill Haven in the 2024  summer months. See our events page for more details on this seasonal community event.
